Todd, I think it will work.  The only concern is whether or not the 
motherboard fits into the bottom half of the 280 case (some 
motherboards wont fit in some case bottoms, but I think it will in 
this case).  The 2300 can use the 280c screen and hard drive.
You may have to install a new system on the HD though.
