So I take it the the Duo is in a Dock when this happens. Is it an older
DuoDock (without built in Ethernet) or a MiniDock?

I've been using the Asante Micro EN/SC SCSI adapter on my MiniDock without a
hitch. I've been running OS8.6 on a 2300.

My DuoDock has built in Ethernet so it's not an issue there.

I also used it with a Duo280c running 8.1. Asante driver version 5.6.1. It
is older as they no longer support this stuff. I've read in a few different
places that it's compatibility is a problem in some installations.
