I'm only keeping this on the list because someone might find it
interesting. All future replies will be sent via private e-mail.

I like pine for a few reasons:

1.) Small and quick
2.) easily controlled with simple keystrokes, not key combinations
3.) Allows me to control messages directly on the server. Nothing is
downloaded to my local machine, which is perfect for use on multiple
machines.
4.) Much more powerful than many might think
5.) Pico (the built in editor)
6.) a million other small reasons.

I have used Eudora for going on six years. It's a good program, but my
current situation doesn't really allow me to use it well. Additionally, I
have used Eudora for going on six years. It's a good program, but my
current situation doesn't really allow me to use it well. Additionally, I
find all modern e-mail programs are generally more complex than I want. I
still use e-mail as a text based utility, and prefer it that way. The only
possible problem I can forsee is file attachments, which I think actually
works just fine in PC-Pine.

BTW, you should be using SSH instead of Telnet when connecting to your
servers. The reason, as you may or may not know, is that Telent sessions
are conducted entirely in clear text, while SSH is encrypted. In fact,
for security reasons, the telnet port on your servers should probably be
closed altogether.

Anyway, as I mentioned, I sent this to the list for anyone who might
be interested. But please send any replies to me via private e-mail.
