Ummmm, I don't think 12.5mm drives even existed when
the 2300 shipped. They shipped with 17mm drives, and
the 2300 developer note indicates a maximum height of
19.25mm. I am in a position to verify this as I just
installed a 19mm 3.08GB Toshiba HDD2619 ($67 @
<http://www.compgeeks.com>)in my 2300c. I believe this
is the largest capacity HD that will fit in a Duo
using the original brackets. All other drives larger
in capacity than certain 17mm 2.16GB (the
aforementioned Geeks are blowing out an IBM for $29)
have relocated mounting holes which, which require
procuring, fabricating, or kludging some other way to
support the drive.
