The problem is that the newer drives don't work with the original
brackets. The adapters that are available are about 5-7 mm tall, thus
reducing the maximum height of the drive that will fit. 

I had a 4GB drive from a Wallstreet PB that didn't work with the original
brackets and that was too tall for the adapters (ask how I know...anyone
want to buy the adapter kit?). Eventually I just used plastic cable ties
(zip ties) and trimmed them in an imaginitive way to make them fit. So far
no problems, but then again, my duos don't get too much use.
