<< 280c goes to sleep when cover is closed but wont recover/wake.
Solution so far is to disable the cover latch switch to avoid sleeping and
reset the Power Manager to never sleep. (My duct tape and zip strap
jury-rig) In addition my friend used Resedit to change the "Sleep" menu
function to "Crash". I'd like a real solution as conserving battery power
and operation longevity is something I no longer enjoy. Running Sys 7.5.5,
230MB HD, 12 MB RAM. What makes the sleep function work/not work? I've
tried reinstalling the system files. Any ideas?

I am also still having the same problem which followed me from 7.5.5 to 7.6.1
and finally 8.1. I have tried rebuilding the desktop with only Easy Open on,
no luck. I also tried updating the disk driver, running DiskWarrior, and
running NU. I have tried turning off any Networking, Autoremount, etc.,
still no luck. The only time it seems to never crash is when all extensions
are disabled which takes some of the fun out of using it. I have gotten sick
of forcing my 280c to restart. I like the idea of changing sleep to crash in
the menu. I may just have to do that.
I was wondering about reseting the power manager which, I think, requires
disconnecting the internal battery to completely reset the power manger. I
have wondered about what the computer does when it first wakes up.
Waking up is hard to duo,
Andrew
