Okay, my first time posting, but long-time lurker. Yesterday, my
2400/240 (upgraded)/80MB/6GB gave me its sixth green light of death.
I was able to successfully revive it using my method of plugging it
in, taking out the battery, and hitting the power manager for about
40 seconds. No problem. I used it all last night to watch election
returns (more on that later), and again this morning, without any
problems.

This afternoon, I just tried to hit the power button, and nothing.
My usual fixes have failed, too. When I hit the power manager with
it plugged in, I get a clicking sound every OTHER time I hit the
power manager. I'm really not ready to let go of this machine, at
least not until Apple comes out with another sub-portable, so I need
to revive my machine. PLEASE, any hints. Since I am on-line with my
office computer, please respond directly by e-mail as a carbon copy
to the list, so I can quickly solve this problem. I'm subscribed to
the digest version of this list, so I might not be able to see your
responses for a day or two, and time is of the essence in saving this
thing. Advance thanks!

dave
