Hi, Lauren,
I just put a new Viking 32 MB module in my 2300, and it had the
funny little socket in the middle as well. It worked just fine, but I was
wondering at the time if one could piggyback another RAM module in that
socket. I would check with TechWorks about the module, as they may well
have a lifetime guarantee. The socket isn't the problem, anyway.
