The actual specs say exactly this printed on the label:

    Power Input: 12VAC/DC@800mA

So is that AC or DC?

Also, it doesn't identify whether positive is inside or outside. Pooh!

I looked through my "box'O'warts" (about 20 of them) and found only 2 at 12v
but only 200 & 300mA. I also found a 14VDC 1A (from my old Motorola flip
phone charger cradle). Do you think this would toast the Asante? Or even if
it didn't would it screw up the connections?
