I looked through my "box'O'warts" (about 20 of them) and found only 2 at 12v
but only 200 & 300mA. I also found a 14VDC 1A (from my old Motorola flip
phone charger cradle). Do you think this would toast the Asante? Or even if
it didn't would it screw up the connections? >>
Sounds as if it has a diode bridge inside and will accept either. Try the
Asante website, they may have some info. The 14 VDC is a charger, not a
supply (different current output curves) and is a bit too high in voltage
(rule of thumb is +/- 10%). I might risk it....but its not my adapter!
