Sounds like a PRAM battery failure to me. I had the same problem and it
wasn't solved until I installed a new PRAM battery. It starts for a while
and gets to the point where the message pops up on various locations on the
screen, then after a bit it quits. If thats similar, I'd check the PRAM
Battery.
