Not a lot you can do with this one, although I don't understand quite what

you  mean. If the 2300 is docked in the dock, the internal HD in the dock is

mounted on the desktop like any other device. 10Base-T ethernet isn't too

horribly slow, unless you'll be transferring gigs of files at a time it

shouldn't be too bad.

Just hit the eject button, once. It will shut it down and pop out. Only push

it once or you'll get a "This command could not be completed because your

computer is shutting down" or something to that effect, and be stuck waiting

for an okay.

Scott - thanks - it does take the 10base a good 25 minutes to transfer 700 
mbs across from one drive to the other. Better than nothing, I suppose. I'll 
back up at night.

I'll try the eject button after the battery reconditions. I think I tried 
that, but I wasn't patient enough.
