>How it was done:

Did you put on a opaque undercoat of white or silver? You can usual
get away with two coats of silver and then two coats. You realy need
to give a day to cure between coats.
>Then when the paint was good and hard I covered the lid with a

You could have used airbrushing frisket paper as well. It designed to
creates masks :-)

Take more time on you second lid, like a month. The second lid I did
looks many times better than the first, mainly becuase I took 2
months to complete it instead of 2 days with the previous lid :-)
> For example I filled in the place where a small metal

Spakle? You used spakle?
Because you were sandling the lid smooth, you should have filled the
Apple hole with an epoxy. It dosn't shrink as it cures and you can
sand it.
As I said, take your time.
>None of this is visible on the webcam though. I'll try and leave it
>up all day.
I guess you need a 4megapixel web cam (joking) Most of the small
defect in my Duo's lid don't show up on the digital images on my web
page, and not because I PhotoShoped them out :-) Film just dosn't
show small things like that.
I love the logo and it's look on the 'Book. Nice job!
