If your 2400c is the only mac you have you should prepare yourself
for some extra work. The only Mac's that can manage an Airport base
station 'natively' are the 'Airport capable' ones that have shipped
sinced the intro of Airport... the iMac, iBook, and *some* of the
tower models. You can run the Airport Admin software from a non
'Airport capable' machine but it requires some jumping through hoops.
I have no qualms about ripping my 2400c to bits and painting the
case, but I *hate* fiddling with stupid software tricks. =)
Thankfully I have an iMac DV here for my kids that I use to manage
the base station with.
