I'd be interested in knowing what FW Card and driver versions (not to
mention OS version you're running).

I have a Newer Firewire 2 Go, which I used with a Wallstreet, and on a whim
I tried it on my 2400 one day and it appeared on the desktop but the icon
looked blank. After installing drivers (but I don't remember which
version), voila, it worked. I even imported to iMovie, though it couldn't
seem to handle outputting to the DV cam.

I have a 2400 w/a newer 240mhz (512 backside), which I bought used from
someone who knew nothing about the history of it (so I don't know if it's
been MCE'd or not).

The weird thing is, I can't seem to repeat this now, which I chalked up to
being an extensions issue (since I've put a new drive and system folder in
since that time). At the time, I thought I had cardbus activated, but now
I'm doubtful.

And if memory serves, I thought I remember someone on the list mentioning
that they got the Newer FW2go to run on a NON-Cardbus activated machine...
hmmm, I'll have to check the archives.
