My opinion on what's happening there is that Earthlink can get it's DSL service out faster by offering it to the PC's first. Rolling it out for both platforms at the same time probably takes longer due to the software and tech training involved.

Case in point is Atlanta, one of the few areas that Earthlink has started to offer Ricochet wireless under Earthlinks name, but only for PC's. Even though all that is required is setting in the Remote Access and TCP/IP control panels, Earthlink wont get around to supporting Mac wireless until later. . .

I try not to take it personally, it's just business. Earthlink is trying to become the primary alternative to AOL which in my mind is a noble goal so it has to move fast to build it's subscriber base. If I have to wait to get the same service the PC's got months ago, that's not something we all haven't had to put up with before. . .
