I'm a regular user of VPC, and have been for several years. Actually, I started out
on Softwindows and made the switch about a year ago. Running VPC on my 2400c/G3/320
works well. I'm running OS9.1, VPC3/win98SE without problems. Sharing TCPIP and
printers is seamless. You'll need to be careful, as Win98 is very resource intensive,
so make sure you allow enough ram. Actually, the video performance and the ram max
are the only things that make this a less than ideal VPC environment. I use it to run
Visio all the time and it works quite well.
On a side note, I also use VPC on my Pismo G3/500, and do find that it runs
considerably smoother. The extra ram and vram certainly help, but for most tasks, the
2400c works well. It's also almost 2 lbs lighter to carry around.
just my $0.02.
