Lately, if I put the lil beast to sleep for a long period of time, I've

noticed battery levels are extremely depleted when I wake it. If it goes

days in sleep, the battery is completely discharged and the date needs to

be reset.

I'm wondering if the main battery is the culprit, or could it be the PRAM?

Thoughts?

It could be either or both. The if the PRAM battery is dead (not drained) it
would not be causing the system battery to drain at a faster rate. However,
when in sleep mode, once the system battery drains, the PRAM battery takes
over until it also drains.

Once the PRAM battery drains, Apple recommends leaving the unit plugged in
for 48 hours to recharge it. You can use it during that time and it's no big
deal if you unplug it to move from one place to another.
