Don't panic, but a general rule of thumb is that whenever you have a faulty AC charger you're gonna screw up your powermanager software which results in the symptoms you have now.

The 2400 really hates having the AC interupted while you're charging your battery and will flake out on you at the drop of a dime. Look for Sydney Ho's page on the 2400 site and do the reset which should clear it up.
