Try this:
--Reset Power Manager
--Check battery contacts and look for small spring in upper left with
battery removed.
--Push battery in firmly and hold for a minute to see if charging starts.
--Remove and reinsert battery several times and repeat. (Sometimes the
battery memory needs to e jogged, especially after a deep discharge and
sitting for some length of time.)
As for missing screws, as long as they are not rolling around and are not
your hinge screws, no problem. I've traveled with a 2400 with maybe 2/3 of
the screws out (intentionally for tech reasons, but not recommended), for
over a month with no ill effects.
