    Just my opinion, but I've never had problems with a Newertech G3 upgrade. I've got 
about ten of the currently operating, and all are rock-solid and have been since day 
one of the upgrade. Of course, since Newer is out of business, any support would have 
to come from the retailer. I think DealMac had a link this past week to one marketer 
who offered a 180-day reseller guarantee.

    I have had experience only with Newer, though. Except for two Met@box upgrades for 
Starmax machines--which, by the way, are also good solid machines.
