Dear Brandy,
I like your idea of turning off all unnecessary extensions! I'll try this.
Another person has recommended using Ram Doubler and Speed Doubler, and I
plan to try these also. I actually forgot that I had them; I quit using
them long ago for fear that they would cause conflicts with other software.
But this is a special situation, as I plan to keep the software on the 2300c
itself very minimal---only those things I'll need on the road. When I'm at
home, I actually plan to use system 8.6 and boot from the docking station,
because it is closer to the v9.1 that I run on my G4 and the two machines
are linked together.
I might be forced to upgrade to 7.6.1 in order to make the OS compatible
with current versions of browser and email programs. It would seem that I
will be stuck with some trial and error work during the next week or so.
I despise the term "Ms" and hate to even mention it. Few people understand
the significance of the term. It represents part of the attack on the
fertility and long-standing cultural foundations of persons of Northern
European descent----virtually an attack on civilization itself. Actually,
the war is over; during the next 30 years or so this will become obvious as
caucasian people and their values disappear from both North America and
Europe itself. We are headed for a sort of corrupt and degraded society
comparable to the notorious Byzantine civilization. We should be thankful
that we won't live long enough to see the worst of it!
Let me know if you have any other tips or tidbits for my project with the
2300c. I'll look for a website where I can download an upgrade to OS
v7.6.1.
Yours truly,
Lewis Coleman
