My duo 2300 screen did the same thing eventually getting a second band and the screen
eventually became unreadable within 4 months. I seem to recall tracing the problem to
the robbon cable that seemed to be fastened to the board in such a way that it
seemed, to me, to be permenatly attached and it looked like I'd have to replace the
screen. I may have to go back and check again. Maybe I missed something... I still
use it in the dock and external monitor.
