Folks,
I've worked in electronics, mostly on circuit boards, all my life. I looked
at those photos and instructions out of curiosity. I think that whoever
posted those pictures did MCE a favor. If 100 people who want Cardbus
activation look at those pictures, I'd say:
85 of them will realize that $100 for this messy job
is a GREAT deal, and will send their 'book to MCE.
10 of them will attempt it, screw it up, and end
up sending it to MCE to have it fixed, probably
paying extra charges to straighten out the mess.
5 of them will try it, get their powerbooks working
again, after many hours of frustrating work, and
will recommend that others send the 'books to MCE.
Net result: Increased business for MCE.
