There are 2 connectors on the motherboard, I believe that the left
hand one (runs left to right) is the IDE connector and the right hand
one (runs top to bottom) is the SCSI connector, so you can easily id
your cable, if the motherboard connector is horizontal it is IDE and
if it is vertical it is SCSI. (also I think the Gender is different)
I hope that this is correct but I have no doubt that others will
correct me if I am wrong.
