I've tried at leat 6 differet PowerAdaptors, and my 2400 has the same
problems on all the power adaptors. Flickering and runnig off battery.

I have check over the board for a loose solder joint and found
nothing. Now I'm thinking it's inside the power plug in my 2400.
Because sometimes tapping on the plug will do somthing, but not
always.

It's not an AC power problem. I run my 2400 off a UPS at home the
conditions line power, and at work it runs off the Mega-UPS.

This is driving me nuts. Sometime my 2400 will go for hours without a
problem, and then suddenly go nuts.
