Careful about attribution - I didn't write that paragraph.

This will leave you with a still-invisible file that doesn't contain
anything like what File Sharing expects it to contain. It might be
better to search for invisible fies of the name in question from
Sherlock or Find File (personally I use Sherlock 1, transplanted to
OS 9). Option-click on the choices pulldown for the invisibility
option. You can trash files from the found items window with
command-delete.
