Pin 4 of the Duo connector is ground. (2nd pin from left, bottommost row when facing the docks) and pin 12 is the +5v (6th pin, same row)
In case you're not familiar with the pin numbering sceme, the rows are in 2 separate groups with the upper row being odd number and lower row being even number. Pin 1 should be marked with a square solder pad and and 2 rows of pin farthest from PCB edge is pin 1 to 76 on alternating form. The other sets closest to PCB edge are in same alternating numbering row. My Duo Dock Plus mobo has number silkscreened but my regular Duo Dock don't and my SCSI dock don't have numbers either. If these are confusing I could try to get some pictures taken, after all I'm sure a lot would like to be able to use the Duo screen while using a Dock. When we figure out which pin is responsible for disabling the screen in Duo Dock and not with mini docks, there are 2 ways we could go from here: modding the Duo Dock itself so it would allow any Duos to use it's screen (more practical) or modifying the Duo itself so it could be used in any Duo Dock. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Holder" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Duo/2400 List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, November 20, 2001 6:17 PM Subject: [Duo2400] Re: Duo Dock hack update > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Genki" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Duo/2400 List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Tuesday, November 20, 2001 6:02 PM > Subject: [Duo2400] Duo Dock hack update > > > > After looking over the list of 152 pins and ruling out as many as I could, > I > > am left with 2 pins that are likely to be the one that turns on or off the > > internal monitor and a few mor epins that are a 'maybe' Now if only I > could > > remember where I left those DMM... > > > > What I'm, following is pin 122 (+5v EXT SENSE) and 114 (/SLOT IN) and > > without my meter I can't find out for sure if they are different between > the > > Duo Dock mainboard from the mini docks.
