Right on Chuck! That, plus the fun of tinkering with the 2400 to make it (somehow) work with everything--and the reverse snobbery of understatement with a 4 year old computer still able to mix it adequately with the big boys. On the road, it's perfect. The smaller size allows fitting other vital things into my carryon that neither Ice or Ti allow. I've been lucky to be able to use each for a week--and haven't bit yet. I had the same impression that Ti was absurdly huge. Internationally, the added ability of wireless infrared over GSM in vital situations plus 2 PC card slots for flexibilty are still precious, as is the ergonomic fit of a 2400 when computing in any position. If you've ever run a fast G4 (or even dark side) desktop computer with a fast HD accelerator card with fast HDs, Photoshop or CAD on Ti or Ice just doesn't cut it, either for performance or critical color work. Yeah, my 2400 screen res is too small and the Vram anemic, but these are acceptable compromises for the cuddly size and (still) superb functionality. Moreover, it's small enough that it goes everywhere with me and never sits dangerously alone in a hotel room. Tempted and "bored", I still haven't been sufficiently convinced by Apple's portable offerings, and although 667/combo is looking good, it's too late/slow in the product development curve for what should be on offer in 2002. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
