You're right, all 2300s came with IDE drives. Only those upgraded from 68k Duos had SCSI drives. >> 2.) I just connected two ties together (or was it three?) and then wrapped them around the drive and brackets. Pull them tight and "Voila!" you have an adapter kit! As mentioned by others, it is also possible to purchase adapter kits for the 2300, but it is only useful for thinner drives (12mm or less, IIRC) I had to adapt a 17mm drive from a Wallstreet G3 and found that the adapter kit didn't fit my drive.
