Or available. My 2400 is dead, I'm fairly certain because of damage to the connection between the motherboard and I/O board. It's been sitting disassembled on a table for some time now while I decide what to do with it. Most of the parts are fine, so I'm loathe to just throw it away. The parts that are damaged are irreparable.
What I'd really like is to obtain another broken 2400, perhaps one with a cracked screen or the like, and cobble together a single working machine between the two. Everything except that connector on the logic board (and possibly the corresponding connector on the I/O board) is not only salvageable, but in very good shape - again, even if I buy an iBook sometime in the future, it'd be nice to be able to find a home for the 2400 (I do volunteer work at a local community network agency so finding homes for computers is not hard ;). This list seems like a good (the best) place to look for a possibly-working 2400 logic board and/or I/O board, so if you have either of those (or a complete nonworking 2400), let me know. If I can't repair this thing, I may instead sell off the working parts and accessories on the list. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
