Try this. Open the Apperance control panel. On the top of the control panel select the Desktop tab. You should have patterns: listed on your right and a picture or pat displayed on your right. Hit the remove picture button on the lower right hand position. You should be asked to choose a file. Open your system folder-then Appearence folder-then desktop pictures. Inside the desktop pictures folder there should be three folders. 3D Graphics, Convergency, and Photos. Open anyone of these folders and choose what you want on your desktop. Click on it and click choose. Last, hit place picture. Remember, desk top photos do take up some memory. Good luck. This works on my 2300. J. Morton
