Another key question is...  Why were you running Norton?  Had you
experienced problems or was this just preventative maintenance?  I, too,
have NEVER had a problem with Norton, and in most cases I've heard, problems
with Norton are usually traced to something else instead.

Hint:  If a directory is badly hosed, sometimes you have to run Norton
multiple times against it.
