IIRC, use of the DOCS key combo is pretty finicky about how quickly you do it after the power comes on. And 280's don't support the "hold down the C key while booting" thing, do they? > 4. I forget if this was mentioned already, but if you have the right SCSI cable, you can hook the Duo to another Mac as a SCSI disk. Then you can just trash the old system and reinstall. Otherwise, the thing to do is create (on some other Mac with a floppy drive) a special Disk Tools floppy. Just the minimal Disk Tools type System Folder, but include two things... The CD driver, and (possibly) the Startup Disk control panel. Now, if you boot from that floppy, you should be able to mount the CD and do whatever you need to.
