Actuall,y if you read *nix docs, the lc040s wont work because of the 
buggy method in which the FPU was turned off.  Turns out most of the 
LCs were full 040s that failed the fpu tests or something, so they 
disabled them and used them as lc040.  Or something.  You dont need 
an FPU, you just cant have an LC040
