Try this(suggested by a book I read on > Powerbook hints....not officially recommended, but works for me): > > Plug the cable into the Duo(dock) SCSI port, and boot the Duo to get the > floating SCSI symbol. Then (carefully) remove the cable and plug the > appropriate end into the desktop's SCSI port, and boot the desktop computer. > After your desktop is up and running, take the free end of the cable and plug > it (carefully) back into your Duo(dock). GOOD HEAVENS!!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER connect/disconnect SCSI devices while there's power!!!! You can destroy either your Powerbook's SCSI circuitry or the desktop's. Not only is it "not officially recommended" but it is widely known as one of the most forbidden things to do. If you've had this work so far, then just thank your extreme good fortune and stop it immediately before your luck runs out. - Eric. -- Eric Strobel (fyzycyst@NOSPAM^mailaps.org) ===================================================================== END RADIOPHOBIA!!!
