Seriously, Brandy, chroming is not a bad idea at all. If I keep mine, I might sandblast it matte and then get a matte chromed finish. I could leave one area mirror finished for your make-up! Too much work and too thin to grind it. I'd get the paint chemically stripped first, and then go for the finish you want.
