Hi there, I don't have my 2400c near at hand now, but you should check the text encodings folder inside your system folder for duplicates of the same files, perhaps with a German and an English name, and make sure you have the latest version thereof. IE uses those files to display accented characters. I'm on MacOS X at the moment, but I've just checked yahoo.de and umlauts and double s's come up just fine under IE.
