Slower, even using the latest Oxford 911 chipset?

Aye, that they are, but I never imagined FW might be slower than SCSI-2,
and any tape could be faster. Some years back, I used a Mitsubishi 4.6GB
MO drive instead. I still have it. Heavy duty metal. It's SCSI-1, does
lots of clicking and clanking over its incredibly loud fan, etc. But I
never had any
r/w errors backing up my drives, a big improvement from using error-prone
ageing SyJets.

heh heh...

Cool. That'd be a big improvement. I'll check 'em out. Thanks,
