I have attempted to make a PB 2400 repair start up disk using a 128mb compact
flash card (and the PCMCIA slot), but cannot get the system folder to be
blessed no matter what.

My IBM microdrives work fine as start up and repair disks, but the compact
flash modules will not allow the system folder to become "blessed" no matter
what I do.

I think I saw a thread on the list previously commenting on the
inadvisability of using compact flash as start up disks and didn't pay much
attention as I always had great service with the spinning IBM microdrives.

Comments please.

Also, is it advisable to leave a new PB 2400 uncharged in its oem container
or charge it even though there is no immediate need for the battery?
