You would have to boot off even an external cd or ZIP drive.  Or you cannot remove
the floppy disk to do anything to the hd with the floppy drive.  You could network
with another Mac and boot from that machine to free up your floppy drive.  I think
that I have done this with 230s before.  I boot off th ZIP drive now to work on the
internal hd.  If you can add a small mounting program to the floppy disk for Speed
Disk, maybe that would help.  There may not be enough space left though.
