As I understand it (and this is purely second-hand, I've never done it), it requires dropping off the bottom of the 2300 wholesale, and replacing it with the bottom of a 2300 (case, mobo, hd, pram, and all).

Is it possible to replace the motherboard of a 280c with that of a 2300?
If yes, is it difficult?
If yes, any advice beyond the obvious?
Is the memory the same, for instance? The PRAM battery the same? What could
I take from my 280 and put in the 2300?
Is it possible to switch screens? (I ask all these because I often see
screens and other Duo parts for sale cheaper than buying a 2300 to replace
my 280c...)
