I have the same symptoms when trying to recondition a type 2 battery in
either my 270c or my 280c. I think that the battery is just too far gone
to be resurrected. It sure it scary to see that nonsense though.. (flick,
flick) When it is really reconditioning a battery, you see a simple icon
on a black screen.
It also plays havoc with my power manager and I have problems with regular
charging after that. Make sure to reset your power manager and trash your
battery prefs after this nightmare... If anyone comes up with a
cell-replacement solution for dead Duo batteries, they'll make a bundle.
