Kris, an outfit called Batteries Plus
http://www.batteriesplus.com/prod/laptop/apple.html
lists the Type I as 1100 mAh. Somebody please correct
me if I am wrong, but if you put 1200mAh cells in the
PB (as long as they are the same voltage) the computer
will draw the same instantaneous current but the
batteries will last longer (Amphours is a measure of
time at a certian current draw). If I am correct,
this is the reason that the Type III battery is rated
at 1600mAh - which is why it lasts longer. IF I
PULLED THIS INFO OUT OF MY A**, SOMEBODY PLEASE
CORRECT ME.
That said, Kris, I would love to know where you
can get these NiMH cells from. I think I see some
serious soldering hours on the horizon.
