Try taping the edge (stand the battery up on its ends) of the case with the
but end of a screwdriver to loosen the glue holding the case together. I
know
this sounds drastic but it works. Be patient, the case is thin.
Also, if you're going to look into the cases you mentioned at sun
remarking, you need to find out which type (1,2,or3) the cases were meant to
replace.
In the ad they mention all three, but I know from experience that the type 1
and 2 use different cells completely, and the AA wont fit in a type 2 case
without removing all of the internal support tabs. I have yet to take a type
3 apart so I'm not sure of the type of cells it uses. By the way the type 2
case is much more fragile than the type 1, so I didn't try to alter it.
I have replaced my type 1 battery with 1400 MAh, and didn't noticed any
difference in the discharge rate. I know the rom in the battery case tells
the duo what charging algorithm to use for the diferent types, so I don't
think it will ever charge a higher capacity battery to it full potential.
