This may be somewhat off topic, but I dimly remember someone posting a
message concerning this problem to this list a while ago, so I'll have a
try:
I use Communicator 4.6.1 on a 2300c, with OS 8.1 and FreePPP 2.6.2. No
problems except this one: each time Netscape fails to connect to a
selected URL ("please check entry"), I cannot connect to any address any
more. Very inconvenient. I have to quit Netscape and close the
connection, after reconnecting everything is back to normal.
As I found that Netscape wants money for what they call "incident based
support", I have this idea that some duolister may have encountered the
same problem and found a workaround.
BTW - this list has been a great source of knowledge and inspiration
since I joined.
