I bought a Duo Dock II a while back but now I wish I had gotten a Minidock
instead. With the minidock, you can still connect an external drive for
when you hose the System Folder but you can carry your connections with you
in the bag.

In my experience, the only way to fix your Duo is to boot from another disk.
So you need to get/borrow a dock....A word of advice. Never mess with the
System or Finder unless you have a dock, no matter...set up a minimal system
on a ram disk & play
with that one. When you screw up, you just zap the pram to wipe the ram disk
& boot from the HD.
Better yet, get a dock.
