Corina,
I shipped my 2400 to DT&T yesterday. If you can wait a day or so, I'll let you
know of my experience with them. My problem: PB died in its sleep, able to
briefly turn back on after long periods at rest, even so, only lasted for 10
minutes before freezing, latch-light on steady, reset button produces barely
audible click every other press, seems to cause heat when PB is off, etc.
I'm interested in the following about your 2400:
1. When did you get it / how old is it?
2. Do you use it pretty rigorously, i.e. lots of on time, lots of movement, as
opposed to, stays on same desk all day?
2. When your's failed, was the air temperature warmer than usual? (The day
mine quit, I drove it 80 miles on a pretty hot day (no a/c). Even though I
used it in an air-conditioned space at my destination, its body temp might have
been higher than normal.)
There are quite a few instances of our problem cropping up lately. This could
explain the DT&T guy's answer. He's probably popping these things open like an
oyster shucker at a New Orleans happy hour.
I've got my fingers crossed. Good luck with yours.
Please pass the cocktail sauce and crackers.
