I just got my 2400c, liking it alot, but do notice it heats up quickly and
stays hot for awhile. I have placed it on a slab of granite tile, which I
have used also for my duo when it's not in the dock. The stone slab stays
cool and keeps the unit cooler than usual. So that might be an easy
solution.
Any electronic equipment should not be used in high humidity, and certainly
if you do go from high humidity into an air conditioned space, you should
give the computer at least an hour to adjust to the new temperature. Like a
glass of ice water that sweats in humidity, the interior of electronics can
also attract moisture and could create a short circuit.
Shooting videos with expensive camera we are only too aware of how varying
weather conditions can detrimentally effect the operation and life of any
electronic equipment.
