As easy as replacing the motherboard, because that's how you fix a broken
battery contact. ;-) They are soldered to the MB. If you are nervous about
trying it yourself, check with your local Apple shop. Back in the ol' 230
days, a bent battery contact was a recognised service problem, repairable
under warranty (it took 2 seconds to fix). If I remember correctly, Apple
made a tool for the purpose and a repair shop might still have one laying
around.

Usually in that case, the icon shows that there is no battery whatsoever, I
guess it depends on which contacts are bent. Now let's say someone didn't

gently" bend their contacts outward and they broke. How easy is it to
replace
these yourself?
